Dr. Kenneth G. Wright: (Managing Veterinarian) Dr. Ken Wright graduated from Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine in 1979. He worked for a mixed animal practice before acquiring Parkway Veterinary Clinic in 1984. Dr. Wright practiced at Parkway, located in Burke, VA as owner & Chief of Staff until joining Countryside in 1992. Dr. Wright's vision for the clinic is to provide thorough, progressive treatment. He loves the challenge of medicine and views his work as a means of combining a lifelong enjoyment of science, biology, and animals. Dr. Wright is a nature enthusiast, and when he's not in the marsh or by a trout stream, he enjoys spending time with his teenage sons.

Dr. Sheryl Davidson: (Associate Veterinarian) Dr. Sheryl Davidson graduated from the Virginia/Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in 1996 and came to Countryside Animal Clinic in June of 1999. She has been a resident of Northern Virginia since 1980. She can't remember ever being interested in any other profession. Dr. Davidson enjoys Countryside's dedication to the family, covering the full circle from doctors to clients to patients. She especially likes working with geriatric patients. Dr. Davidson is an avid VA Tech & Redskins football fan and enjoys spending time with her husband, Charles, children, Liam & Clare, and her pets.

Dr. Kathleen Werden: (Associate Veterinarian) Dr. Kathleen Werden joined Countryside Animal Clinic in June, 2008 after graduating from Michigan State. She has a strong interest in internal medicine, and enjoys challenging surgeries & researching complex cases. In her spare time, Dr. Werden likes hiking, alternative music, and her 2 dogs & 2 cats.

Dr. Lauren Thigpen: (Associate Veterinarian) Dr. Lauren Thigpen graduated from Tuskegee University's School of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. She became a member of our veterinary team in July, 2008 after completing a year-long Small Animal Medicine& Surgery Internship in Connecticut. Dr. Thigpen is originally from Cary, NC. Her greatest areas of interest are surgery & internal medicine. Outside the clinic, Dr. Thigpen enjoys a variety of outdoor activities and spending time with her dog, Maya as well as her family & friends.
